Seminole State Park - 2024

SEMINOLE STATE PARK-2024

In 2024 we received the aquatic excavator/harvester purchased by Seminole  County and began the cleanup of Seminole State Park to remove invasive Torpedo Grass to restore boater access to camp sites, remove vegetation around boat ramps from hurricane Michael and clean up the swimming area.

Torpedo grass and other invasives were making it difficult for campers to get their boats ashore.  Chemical treatment was not the answer for Torpedo grass.

Mechanical removal restored the beautiful sandy bottoms and boater access to their camp sites.
